How to access Morrissey’s services

If you are 65 years and older (or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) and require support to remain living independently at home and in the community, you may be eligible for government funding.

Everybody’s circumstances are individual to them and depending on your needs, you may be eligible for government funding.  Your level of funding is accesses by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) or Regional Assessment Services (RAS).

Morrissey can support you to access services by way of a referral to My Aged Care who will conduct the assessment.

To be eligible for NDIS, clients:

  • Must be Australian citizens or permanent residents
  • Be between 7 years and 65 years of age
  • Must require support because of a permanent and significant disability

If these 3 criteria’s are met they are eligible for NDIS funding. To apply for funding they need to make an ‘Access request’ this can either be done online www.ndis.gov.au or by calling 1800 800 110.

Should Morrissey be unable to deliver requested supports, clients will offered alternate days, being placed on a waitlist or offer to be referred to an alternate provider
