NDIS School Holiday & Weekend

School Holidays are a fun and exciting time for young people with disabilities at Morrissey Homestead. Offering two programs specifically tailored to primary school, and high school aged children respectively, there’s always something to do.

Our program for younger people is focused on providing appropriate safe play while giving families respite. Some of the activities offered include musical games, creative play and local outings.

For high school aged people, we offer an energetic day exploding with fun & friendship while maintaining appropriate social skills in a supported environment.

Saturday SOUL outings for 18+ into the community, visiting local pubs, festivals and evenings movies or relaxing dinner out with friends.
Supports at Home & Social Assistance

Staff will work alongside you to maintain your home with domestic duties, assist you to shop or shop from list if necessary and support you to attend appointments or watch your grandchildren with their school activities.

Morrissey supports clients enabling them to be more included in functions and events in the Community, together with people who share similar interests.
My Aged Care - Home Care Packages

We understand the process of accessing an Home Care Package can be overwhelming.

Morrissey has a dedicated Liaison, who can assist you to navigate and understand the process when applying for or accepting a Home Care Package through My Aged Care.

No administration fees.

Package funds can be utilised to access short or long term respite at one of Morrissey’s secured facilities. No minimum booking required and can be booked in advance or on short notice in the event of an emergency.

Social Centre
Respite
Respite care offers your carer the opportunity to attend to everyday activities or have a break while ensuring your needs are supported.

At Morrissey Homestead, we offer:
- Centre-based day respite at either of our two locations Bunbury or Leschenault
- Overnight or weekend respite (also known as Cottage Respite) at either of our two locations Bunbury or Leschenault
- Community access respite with outings travelling to places of interest across the South West region.

Morrissey Homestead

Morrissey Homestead Inc operates 24 hours 7 days a week. We are providers for Home Care Packages, NDIS and Home Care services, offering many varied programs and a tailored service including medication administration and support, personal care, in home support, 1:1 social excursions as well as day respite in your home or overnight respite in one of our respite centres.

We also offer exciting activities on any day the individual client requires it. Including cooking classes, pool competitions, ten pin bowling competitions, movies, community gardening programs, fishing and many more.

If you would like to attend, however you have another provider, Morrissey can assist by Liaising with your provider to access our Cottage and Overnight Respite or other selected services.

While at the centre our clients are treated to some delicious food including morning tea and a nutritionally balanced meal which is all cooked on the premises by our amazing cook. Religious and special dietary requirements are also catered for with specialised ingredients and options to suit the individuals needs and health goals.

Our fully trained staff are chosen for their professional, friendly and caring skills and who demonstrate a knowledge of cultural diversity. Maintaining and improving the skills and knowledge of our staff is a priority of Morrissey Homestead, we constantly put our staff through further and specific training to ensure clients receive a unique and quality individual service.
